We are having our January Business Meeting at the brand-new Charney Hall at Santa Clara University. Our host, Prano Amjadi, has graciously provided us use of high tech classroom for both the luncheon and business meeting. This is a great opportunity to see this new facility and collaborative working space.
We will be having an INCREDIBLE speaker for this event. Prof. Michele Oberman, of Santa Clara Law, will be discussing her latest book on reproductive freedom in Central America. The book, titled "Her Body, Our Laws: On the Front Lines of Abortion War from El Salvador to Oklahoma", shares stories of women in both the US and in Central America as they struggle against the structural inequalities of dignity and volition in their reproductive experiences.
Lunch will be provided by Bon Appetit and the price is $20. We will be sending out a menu to attendees to select their lunch option soon. There will be both vegan, and non-vegan, lunch options.
